Before my eyes

Staring Slightly startled By the look in your eyes By your grim smile You're not surprised Stopping Turning Walking away Ever farther from me From all that we could have been Should have been Where's the twinkle that was once there So visible So clear So special and dear Who took it from you Took your smile so true So beautiful Now you're walking away Your back stays turned Not even a last goodbye Or a tear in your eye Your tears are all shed No more love left in you Just a grey battle Playing out before your eyes Over and over Never ending Never forgetting All the screams The agony The pain You'll never turn back Ever again.
