BEFORE THE NEW WORLD WAS BORN
Before the new world was born Those times are gone, When my heart was last filled with contentment and peace Those days are no more Where my son used to be our son And what you had, was what we shared That was long, looong before the new world was born I can see, but I am still the blind being Yearning for direction I’ m hustling and struggling Toiling for perfection, but, to no avail Sons and daughters of the Moshesh How do we perk up that passion that has died in us? How do we revive that compassion that was once born with us? That spirit of togetherness and oneness That died when the new world was born The key to our change is buried right within us Not too far, but right within us I, fall on my knees and plead with God almighty Swallow your pride and do the same Arise, and break the concrete walls that estrange us from one another Just like before the new world was born Like a song without a rhythm Like a book without a title The loveless and bleak world we gave birth to has no sense This has to be the end of it For this is just the a story to be told to the our descendents Like any other story that is worth being told It has its beginning: When the new world was born And it has its ending: and that is now!!
