Before your eyes
It takes a whole damn life sometimes To open up and realize That who you love's before your eyes And loves you too – to your surprise. You wish you knew that sooner, but It takes a whole damn life sometimes. A flirt, you break men’s hearts like ice You get too spoiled and miss the signs That who you love’s before your eyes You pride yourself on being “wise” But mind can’t tell you whom to love It takes a whole damn life sometimes Some people fail, to their demise. Their bias never lets them see That who they love’s before their eyes You’re both so blessed! Enjoy your lives And don't be scared and don't think twice. It takes a whole damn life sometimes To see what’s right before your eyes.
