Biblical Characters
As I prepare to teach my Sunday School class I read about biblical characters lost in a morass Who pretended to be courageous and strong But were weak and feeble with no backbone. Noah was obedient for so many years The flood came down and he had no fear When he set foot on land he celebrated Got drunk and then he slept completely naked. Moses lead the Israelites through the desert of Paran God instructed him to lead his people to the promised land. The Israelites would rebel and cause mass confusion Created a golden calf and worshipped it in their delusion. Jonah was a prophet that knew about Jehovah And he was commanded to preach at Nineveh He refused to do what God told him, he set sail Deviated from God's plan and was eaten by a whale. Samson was a very strong and powerful man But fell to a voluptuous and treacherous woman Delilah was a clever and cunning woman indeed She deceived Samson causing him to concede. Mankind has been disobedient since the beginning of time But God overlooked their deficiencies and their grime He was able to use men and women in all walks of life Despite their sinful nature and their constant moral decline.
