Birds
Sang Sorrow Bird of happiness His wings, they beat in tune He strives for poise and elegance But sorrow still he croons A child dressed in lilac scent Sat down with ears of green It waited for the calmness Purchased with money’s scene Chirped pity bird with ragged wings Of longing, mimicked chimes The child starred with opened eyes It left their songs of time.
