Birthday of an Irish Rose

20 Apr 2004

·Yogibear

On this happy, momentous and special occasion, No need for any form of persuasion; With gladness of heart this tribute goes To Maureen, our very own Irish rose! To a lovely lady who with sweet, gentle smile, Quietly touches our lives for awhile; From this special day on may you richly be blessed, Say all of us here: "You're simply the best!" On a more personal note, I have to confess That my life was still in one hell of a mess, (From circumstances now well known to you) The day that you phoned, quite out of the blue! As friend and companion, you stood supreme; Gone what was left of my low self-esteem. From moments exotic to the very mundane, All quality time, life worth living again! With compassion, humour and twinkle in eye, You got yours truly to decalcify! "To know when you're happy, that is the trick," Down to earth wisdom is what makes you tick. May your best lie ahead, and not in the past, Living life to the full and long may it last! How bodes the future, the great unforeseen? Whate'er betides, here's to you, dear Maureen!
