Black Unicorn

Manifested with a free spirit Unyielding to be tamed It’s obvious my character shows no merit This much I will try to explain I refuse to be like the rest To have my soul broken in and beaten To be apart of that whole cold hearted mess It feels as if life no longer has meaning Being merciless and ruthless is the image required To look out for only ones self and no more This lifeless image is admired To not allow anyone to reach your core Most resent my compassion Most find my empathy amusing I will not allow my heart to turn into ashes Isolation and sadness within me are fusing I stray from the rest Excepting my image as an outsider I will overcome this test To be myself, the steadfast fighter I keep to myself to hide my weakness The weakness of having a malleable heart Most would view my future as luckless For setting my heart up to be torn apart So far that prophecy is true Sometimes this all seems too difficult to cope Everyone I loved has succeeded in breaking my heart into two But I will try my hardest to stay filled with hope
