Blue umbrella
A dismal afternoon again. Rain puddling in every hollow; grey skies slide down and no chance of any brightness on the horizon. A stranger appeared. He ambled across the road carrying with him a fragment of Antiguan sky-his vivid blue umbrella, a beautiful halo. Piercing dark eyes looked through me beyond the rain-drenched facade. Curious rear view reflection- and yes, he did! The rain continued still unnoticed it washed away his footsteps. All that remained was a spot of blue disappearing into the distance and the memory of that look.
