It was 90 years ago that brave men fought and died Answering the call whilst families sat and cried Too many souls lost, lives theirs to give Making the greatest sacrifice so that we all may live Remember our boys and let us never forget For all eternity we will be forever in their debt This was the time of our heroic generation And we will all mourn together for one day, a nation For this is a day to be proud of our history And to celebrate our boys and all past glory Do not forget that our boys are falling still Carrying out the orders of one mans will With foreign lands they have to roam We wish them all a safe journey home
