Anger

I’m fighting to break free 
Pushing hard with all my might 
To be courageous and strong 
But the demons won’t let me 
They keep me locked up into torment 
Just to steal my sanity 
 
I cry tears each night 
Hoping to see the day 
When I'll break free from those demons 
That constantly tie me down 
I have tried my best to smile through the pain 
Yet I always listen to their voices 
And frown my face instead 
 
One day, this soul of mine will break free 
So I will never give up 
Because I know my creator will cast away 
Every demon that lives inside of me 
And he'll bring back the powerful person I used to be 
Before they took over my body 
And as long as he's by my side I'll break free.
