Broken Moon

Cracks across the surface; fine-veined cynicism underlines feigned affection - for love, just scepticism. Once, in full-burst blossom, now pain-dusted memories eclipse a shattered moon… and grim bleed its arteries. How long, my moon-faced friend? How long to set you free, to break your discontent and bring you back to me?
