Brothers In Arms--chapter 1

Receiving his gun he began his run To start his day in the morning sun. The mission to find a bunch of bullets Amidst the air-strike hammering like mallet. Mixing in the chaotic mass He forced his way through a deadly pass. Turning back, a worthless try They’re killing those, shying to die. Advancing through the stampede He begins to search for his needs. For once his eyes locked on a man beside him Next moment, the body collapsed struggling to redeem. With a frantic pace he charged forward Concentrating his vision to take a guard. Finding a spot to take his position He rushed to settle without further deviation. When there emerged from around a corner A dreaded panzer to greet the mourners. With a slow and steady pace it surveyed the area Preparing to cause the mass hysteria. Two successive deafening roar started the plunder In close quarters the sound reverberated like that of thunder. Disoriented as a man would in an earthquake The effect of shellshock left everything at stake. His head was spinning like crazy The blur caused him to become dizzy. Forced to return, back to reality By the cries and agony of this calamity He moved himself out of the sight Completely away from the panzer’s might. With a steady pace he continued to survey Until an object caused him a delay. There it lay among the pile of debris The fresh smell of blood revealing it’s degree. An unusual gift in this horrific trip A bunch of bullets grabbed by a severed grip. While collecting the bullets, something slipped out A little curious he searched for it without doubt. Upon looking his gaze was fixed An alternate reality with a fear he risked Without a delay he threw it away It’s too vain to get scared this way Finding it’s place in the dust The photo of a small boy got peace at last.
