Encouraged by a couple of comments in another thread, I am posting this on its own. It's the Haiku that I consider my best so far: Tranquility lost Two mayflies in dispute Bullfrog's tongue makes peace Please....before anyone points out it is not 5-7-5...understand that Haikus come in many sizes and the only solid RULE about this is that they do NOT exceed 17 syllables in length. This poem would still fall within the boundaries of the usual rules if it was laid out in the following manner Tranquility lost, two mayflies in dispute, bullfrog's tongue makes peace... ...although aesthetically not so pleasing I think. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Started writing poems at age 14, lyrics a lot later and am still doing both to my astonishment. Along the way I wrote a couple of novels and they are published by Amazon. I am gloriously happy in my marriage, after 50 years and I am relieved to say...
