Burning Eyes of Odium

The people stare at me and a loss of pride arises, And the burning hum of anguish deepens within me, To an infinite, not extent, had I felt the burning eyes of odium, Smoldering, with pity and doubt. How had I lost? I wept. I wept until rivers had submerged themselves into choking, ‘til lakes and oceans and seas and basins had swollen into mountains of water, I wept until the birds and trees and frogs and bees had fallen amongst The endless tirade of hot wet tears. Became one with ocean and floodgate. I wept until the sun had not but become useless amongst the boiling water, Of pity and remorse, to become useless is death. The sun took a final breath, And with it, light was gone, earth left with nothing but swimming pools, the occasional mount everest. To swim on earth is to swim forever. To swim in tears.
