But a Dream Away
Speak to me gently dear Your whispers echo Like Thunder among the mountain tops of my mind. Rub me soft darling I feel your fingers upon me It calms me so Like morphine for my soul. And with every breath I draw in more of you I taste the sweetness you offer It is but honey for my mind. With newly formed eyes I see you in a different light You’re beauty stares back From everything I look upon. I’ve awakened now It was but a dream A lifeless reverie in my mind And I want it more than ever now. Your lips pressed Firmly upon my own For a moment, weightless I floated in an endless moment. I looked into your eyes Beautiful wonders of crème, hazel, and black I got lost for a moment I recall But want it over and over again. It was but a dream though The desires of my soul And so I fear this thought That it shall not happen again. I wait to hear your voice again The words to take me to that place For now with you, utopia Is but a dream away.
