Candle

I think I was like 14 when I wrote this..which is why it's so different from my other stuff...tho I do still write without following the rules of structure LoL.. Like a baby Learning to crawl But my legs are broken I can't move I can't breathe I am frozen Someone pulls me to follow Into their nightmare Leave behind my confect clouds I can't I won't I tried that before No one has faith in me Not even myself To conquer the empty routine I'm afraid of failure Close my eyes Breathe in deep Take a leap And if I miss I fall into black Can I be the candle? I'm afraid of the dark More fear of the landing Than the flight Where would I end up? I'm afraid of success I'm too controlling I won't step forward I fear the unknown I remain
