Candle Time
Is it candle time again? Tall, regal, pale columns of wax in every corner marking the sense of occasion; smooth globes, glossily sensual, resting in porcelain dishes, perfumed floating lily-candles that throw tiny spotlights upon their watery vista, scenting the air with a lusty profusion to further bestir the senses. Say it is time. Bring the sparkling wine and you. I will pour droplets of neroli oil into the breathy water and lie immersed, watching you watching me. Say it is time. Please do.
