careless and carefree
When I was young I was footloose and fancy free, Lived my reckless and chaotic life careless and carefree. Nothing was holding me back from chasing my dreams I confronted all my adversities head-on with full steam. Relationships and friendships would never get in the way I wasn't one to show my affection or my emotions display Someone said, that showing your emotions was a weakness So I held everything bottled up inside creating utter bleakness. Building material wealth meant so much when I was young, That I lost family and friends, never realizing I was so wrong. Our values and beliefs are derived from those closest to you I was a beast, no compassion, no love and I would never subdue I thought I was always right and your opinion didn't matter to me But the more I pondered on it, the more I saw my fallacy. Now I have realized that wisdom comes with age for some Today I think of helping others too, not just number one!
