the hymn was soothing to the mourners as the coffin was lowered others whispered "he got what he deserved He's always been cruising for a bruising" the image of the gun totting radical could not be reconciled with the corpse that lay defenseless in this coffin the priest spoke kind words of comfort mourners weren't mourning the one that laid there they mourned for those who died by his gun
