Celestial Visitor An entity softly impinged Upon my dreaming mind. "Oh God! Have I become unhinged? Its entry cannot be declined. Has it arrived from cold of space? It seems so bright, lighter than air. It sensed my alarm, slowed entry's pace And I became aware of loving care. My mind released a query clear, Answer burgeoned like a sightless seeing, "No sound or symbol, no eye or ear, Do you need to know my being." "Your language will not explain my role, I do not speak but share my soul, I have no touch to grasp your hand, You must not fear, but understand." "I know now of you man creature rare, The fires of cosmos forged your frame, Then mindless chance made you aware, For aeons ago we were the same." "No ship pf space will break your prison's bars, Or from Earth's chains will set you free." "We found no freedom amongst the stars, We too were blind and could not see." "Your world of of rock, ice, water, fires, Has shaped your ambition and desires." "You cannot thus move beyond their scope But this you must or lose true hope." "Body and mind you see as one, It is this that leaves you so undone," "What you see with your inner eye, Your hands then tell you is a lie."
