Chained Up
Can’t fight back. Can’t escape. Just have to lie there and take the abuse. Always yelling saying hurtful things. You hear something so much, you start to believe it. You feel so small and pathetic. Nobody wants to hear about it, they never believe, or they tell you to get out, leave. But they don’t know, the powerlessness, the circumstance, that holds you there, binds you to the floor, with chains.
