Childhood
I was a child of the taiga And eyes of mine were full of care I tried to save a big of sugar To feed a horse without a name My braid was longer than our Volga And ribbons were as blue as sky And I desired to catch a seagull, As I desired to learn to fly. I dreamed of fame, I had my freedom, My mother told me fairy tales, And I adored my Northern stardom, As I adored our summer rains.
