Childhood story
The darkness seems dreary and chilling The hours were long and I was unwilling To uncover my eyes, so I could see If a monster was coming to get me. It stood at the corner of my little bedroom Hair was matted and seems so ungroomed The nose stuck out like a mean ole witch I wanted to get up and turn on the light switch. I was paralyzed by the scary silhouette That stood in the darkness by my bed It seemed so real and it frightened me so I had no choice but to get up and go. I finally convince myself to face my fear Go up, turn the light switch that was near. The monster was a broom standing next to my bed These monsters and witches I fabricated in my head.
