Christmas Day

·Straightjacket

It was the Night before Christmas, and all I could hear The screams and shrieks of angry family fill my ear It’s unnerving and annoying. It Drives me mad Making me insane; where I might do something bad Stay in your bed Do not leave You’ll never understand What’s under your tree Could it be a bike Or a brand new car No it’s not None of those at all It was the day of Christmas the first hour was quite fun I opened my presents and I thought the fighting was done However I was mistaken when yelling reached its highest point I took the baseball that was given to me, to break up the joint Stay in your bed Do not leave You’ll never understand What’s under your tree Could it be a bike Or a brand new car No it’s not None of those at all It was the day of Christmas and all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse My parents bloody on the floorboards My sister’s neck entangled in chords My brother lays in the window Shattered like the glass he fell on Peace finally peace Then a new sound breaks the tension The sirens of inevitable capture The bloody bat in my possession It’s all over; when I am free it will be rapture In my cell Peace Finally peace
