Classic

O how I wish to write a ryme that will stand the test of time. Something about love, lost, and tragic. A poem that will be hailed as an instant classic. A piece that flows lightly, with delicate grace, that will leave readers with tears on their face. Work that will stand out and not be the same. Words that will make everyone remember my name. I would write about war, and the death of the masses, which would be taught to students in college classes. Something to trancend language, and be read on distant shores, with the perfect imagery and light metaphors. The tales I would tell about loss and grief. I would write tales about heroes, villains, and thiefs. I would spin yarns about kids who fell through the cracks, and tales about vile genius maniacs. As yet I have not written that ryme, that captures the readers hearts and minds. That is allright because it's a sure bet, I will write that classic name maker yet.
