Cog In The Wheel

What is it to be efficient When you are just a cog in the wheel, Trying new techniques Implementing new ideas Working better and faster Only to sit and wait For the cog before you When have we stopped embracing Ideas, and those who have them, When was it that mediocrity Became society’s goal, How am I to learn If all your ideas Are the same as mine, I am not offended If you tell me I’m wrong, I am educated, with new ideas, Given new perspectives to ponder, I do not want to be a cog in a wheel That turns endlessly back on itself. I want to move forward, And that will never happen If we keep coming back to where we start.
