Cold afternoon You can burn your bridges on a cold afternoon and she'll come back to you You can dance and rave the whole night away she will stay true You know its not because of you Turning the pages in a still gaze now she'll be dancing soon Open doors yet you dont know how who comes riding through Here comes the cold afternoon Based on a story you once wrote but she's not in the mood Happy endings never find you at all oh how you lose To the cold afternoon She's cold so cold her heart is in ruins Here we are torn apart again she's confused and blue You have gone too far too fast you fool she's trying to think it through On a cold afternoon I'm cold so cold my heart is in ruins....
