Come to me
Come to me, come to me and fill my senses. Come to me, come to me and fill my heart. Feed my joy, carry my dreams. Albeit not real, albeit just for now. Come to me and let me rest. Let me lay my head upon your shoulder, let me feel your breath upon my brow Just for a second, just for the briefest moment let my soul feel connected. Give me fodder for my dreams, laughter for my sadness. Then go again - if that is what you are needing to do. Go again and I may hate you, Yes, I probably will. But for now - just for now ... Hold my face in your hands, touch my cheek, stare deeply into me. Help me to believe ... someone worth touching, someone worth feeling, someone worthy of being seen. And when it is over, I promise to let you go - or at least to try, to be brave, to see it for what it was ... Though I know I shall fail miserably! Aching to feel, Begging to be seen, Crying out to be heard.
