Concupiscence
My body and mind are filled with desire. Your words and your touch only add fuel to this fire. If concupiscence is the punishment of original sin, I am in a battle that I can never win. So take hold of my hand, and look towards the stars These years we’ve been longing have left permanent scars To have and to hold from this day and forward Are Meaningless words for the dumb and the tortured Your poison in me sends my heart all a flutter It flows deep in my bones, causing me to stutter The spell that you cast to capture my love Drops like a net, tethered from above Some day I’ll be free, and fly high above all of this Until then I hold on, and remember your kiss.
