·ghostship

i am your god- my likeness in yours i will create you and destroy you, mark your passages in time your ruins will sift with dust of crumbled civilizations, your bones will support the weight of cities- barking, sweating, aching. i will answer your cries, lead you to the land of milk and honey, whispering in both sides of the prophet's ear. i will open sightless eyes while the masses bow before me, chanting and swaying, choking on incense and pardon. have not a thousand nations waited for me? yet i am nothing but the golden calf balking at its fate, for my likeness has consumed me.
