Looking out the window today You walk my way Standing tall and with no delay You start to say “Answer me now. Where have you been? Living in sin?” He is right. He feels it within Tears hit my skin He looks like my father, but no He is a foe I’ve seen him before this I know Time long ago To wickedness I have succumb I've become numb For transgressions this is the sum The talking’s done He hits me so I hit him back My eye grows black I center myself and attack I hear a crack Ending the search for clarity I can now see The window is a blank TV The man is me
