The pubs and clubs are on shutdown The shops that are open have outside a very long line Citys at night are like a ghost town Knowhere to buy a bottle of wine Rubber gloves and masks are now the norm No more community gatherings together Because of this pandemic, they have been torn Does that man over there carry the virus Or am I being over paranoid That woman is coughing and I know that's how it is born I wash my hands for over 20 seconds Until they are red in colour and looking worn Coronavirus is killing tens of thousands every week And it came from Wuhan in china Where the people involved in looking after the infected can't speak It's a virus that can jump from species to species and to mankind we have hero nurses and doctors in the NHS Even retired nurses and doctors have come back to work and do there best With shortages of basic equipment, they heroically carry on With the nurses and doctors, the battle with this virus will be won and soon be gone And not forgetting care home staff who take it day by day They are losing residents in a horrific way They too are heroes in every way So sit tight and stay at home Like most of the world your not alone If you need to speak to a friend or family member You can always use Skype or facetime or talk on the phone If you take notice of all of this Soon it will be over and life will become bliss
