Corridors

03 Aug 2006

·Ley

I wander the corridors of my mind Opening and shutting doors I gaze through the windows of my eyes Deeply into the windows of yours You look perplexed, I say And you wonder if this is so You are standing in my way I say And I silently turn to go What was that I saw in your eyes, That fleeting moment of chance? A bittersweet memory of lost moments Captured in one fleeting glance The depth of your anger it burns me Seared to my very core The fires of loss ignite me And I think of my dreams no more
