crimson tide

Sit in silence, behold the crimson tide, Weary of all those monsters that within you hide - Hear the distant cries of ghosts in your skin, Feel your world calling from within... Your soul strives to live, yet even sore, The strangeness and bitterness dwell in your core As you look for a reason to live once more, Even if only for another day, another night... Though you look, friends are out of sight, Perchance a dream taken to flight Your mind escapes in the crevices of imagination A milliard of colours – a hued sensation Escape into life’s turmoil, giant kaleidoscope, Even seemingly neglecting, grasping the lingering hope That tomorrow this hectic dangerous life will change And you won’t be any more another rat in the cage. Feel the crimson tide that flows In your veins; the sense that grows, And pervades your mind with hope Hope you’d lost and unwillingly found In a twist of fate, exposing your wounds As you stumbled once again onto the ground Your mind, memories all confound Yet grasp this chance to again be sound... 1 – 2 September 2004
