Why hello called Mr Banks Contacting Mr Street Although you don't have savings I still think we should meet Have just the ticket for you A special kind of loan Called one hundred percent And you can have a home. A new car why not Run the family to school Don't worry about the payments We have ways around every rule A bit more for a holiday Why not, trot of to Spain Not much fun in England Good grief it just might rain. You see money is no object You have a house and a job Don't worry about a thing Just shop, and shop and shop This rumour that you heard Your company's in trouble But they bank with us old boy No time to burst the bubble. Oh please Mr Street Leave your (small) savings here All this news on the telly It's just rumour and fear Ah... we know you lost your job It's sad the company's gone American bankers fault Added simple sums up wrong. We are under presssure to No one will lend to us! If it does not change soon Our mighty bank will bust But we have a cunnning plan Gain more money out of you Those taxes that you paid We are going to have those too.
