Although mature of years in the passage of time, I believe that I am not yet in my prime. In the looks department, no great shakes, But by and large I have what it takes. Lofty in stature; oh! rapture!...but alas! A wee bit bulky in girth and mass. Humour off-beat, but not lavatorial; At times somewhat odd-ball in matters sartorial. A former pipe smoker, relaxed and benign, Hardly surprising, with Aquarius my sign. No smoothie, but a quiet guy, Caring and gentle, as you well may espy. To a failed marriage I must admit; And to past guilt feelings, which like sh*t, Have been expunged and flushed down the drain, Never to bother and plague again! Of fair education...advocate by admission; With broad-ranging interests to suit mood or condition. Though social circles are perforce at times high, My lifestyle is modest, that I cannot deny. Duty-bound dining and related high flying, A pain in the butt, and at times a bit trying; But to break bread with those of one's voluntary choice, Celebrates living and is cause to rejoice! A positive thinker who clearly perceives Great things to come, and firmly believes That the best lies ahead, and not in the past, Living life to the full, right up to the last! Scaled Alpine heights, and then back to earth; From moments more sombre, to great joy and much mirth. How bodes the future? Foretell we cannot; Whate'er betides, it will have my best shot!
