Damsel in distress

Can i place my hand in your's oh damsel in distress, I've been walking in your shadow, i know who you are. As i strum my guitar, or write a short verse, i see your face, i hear your voice. Memories keep me strong, and tear me apart, you pierced my soul, and captured my heart. There's no escape, there's no where to hide, i'm on the run, i'm dead inside. Do you remember, when we were one, so long ago, you set me free. As time goes by, and angels weep, i'll see you in the morning, when we sleep.
