Dance with me

Dance with me ... and in so doing celebrate my life with me, celebrate my 36 years, celebrate my joys. And let me tell you ... oh let me tell you ... of the moments, so many moments when I have slid down a rainbow touching each colour more than once, of the days and the nights when I have held a star, held so many precious and beautiful stars, in the palm of my hand. Dance with me ... and celebrate my pain. Celebrate with me that I can finally feel, celebrate with me that I can finally allow life to bring me to my knees, that I can finally be broken and gutted. And celebrate with me, that in those magical moments when I taste my core and the saltiness of my tears - I find my power stronger than ever before. Dance with me ... and if you cannot dance with me – Promise me you will dance anyway ... Dance ... with abandonment and with total surrender. Dance! Dance! Dance ... with the wind in your hair and the sand beneath your feet, with the sunshine burning your face. Dance on the side of the road in the pouring rain. And if you cannot show your soul to the world just yet ... Run home ... Run home and close the blinds, draw the curtains, lock the door – and dance in your living room, in your kitchen, in the room where you rest. Twirl on your toes, throw your arms open wide and dance! Close your eyes and surrender – let the steps find you – and if they take you flying on a cloud, soaring above the heavens – do not be afraid ... Know ... Trust ... Believe ... life will catch you before you fall! Dance simply dance ... and do not be afraid of the greatness you may find beating in your chest – begging to be let out! Dance simply dance ... and if the steps that find you take you along a path that brings you to your knees – give in to the pain, let it finally be free. And when it overwhelms you, when it steals your breath and renders you incapable of one more step – sit still in the moment, let it be what it needs to be! And know that I am sitting there with you, holding you, wrapping my arms around you, carrying you – carrying ALL of who you are in my heart. So no matter where, no matter how, no matter with whom, no matter if alone and hidden – Dance! Dance! Dance! Simply dance my friend ... and allow me to dance with you, albeit at times only from a distance.
