Your eyes are like the night Cold and complex, yet restful They put one at arms and ease Your glance stiffens On the object of your observation Unbecoming you shrivel Deep into the night of your eyes At once, you are at rest But to see you perform To see not your smile but your firmness To see your bodies contortions For there is your joy O, to see you move The calculated curvature of your being A most beautiful calculus While the audience watches your lyrical form I require your mathematical brilliance Because in this way your eyes cannot lie You are no simple artist, but a dancer
