Danny
As young students we met, many moons ago; Me somewhat earnest...you went with the flow! Our friendship grew deep, many laughs, a few tears; No words passed in anger...in all of those years! Though I travelled this land to forge a career, We never lost contact...you were always near! With old fashioned values and a smile on your face, In your quiet way, many lives you did grace! I still grieve that our friendship ended that day, When robber's bullet cruelly blew you away! Goodbye, dear Danny, 'til we meet again, In the great hereafter, where no sorrow or pain!
