Dark Desires

·Boffin

Taking a knife and killing time he drew his fingers Under fumes of cloudless nights Forgetting that the sun was still his enemy Finding his way through the thicket of mercy As nights like these penetrate and freeze He found himself scattered between dark desires He shifted the plumes of muddy swamps And hid behind rocks that covered his shame As a needle his mind injected his veins with doubt Filling his heart to the brim with black, sticky sensations Before he knew it the sticky, black dark desires submerged his life And everything within his being melted into nothing Softly he whispered to his subconcious And with a gasp of fresh air he spoke in anger Finding that he was only worth his dark desires And as these desires gripped his throat his breath sailed away Into vulnerable open skies his breath amounted to nothing Capable of so much yet worth no more than his sin And all that is left of him are these dark desires that float in black skies Torn apart from happiness and in the arms of judgement he rests Keeping only his damaged heart and soul in his hand Finding his way through dark thoughts And waking up from dreamless sleeps.
