Dark Night

A perfect marble moon Casts its staircase into a distant river Fireflies dot the dark sky As the owl hoots its nightly call. The steady beat of Africa drums Fills your soul Zulu dancers enthrall your senses Beautiful, yet fierce, tribe of Africa. A huge bonfire sends crackling sparks into the night Surrounded by youngsters enjoying its energy Captivated by the stories of the old Zulu warrior And wooed by the Bush Baby on his shoulder. A lion announces his nightly kill Followed by a deathly silence Crickets resume their evening choir Ahhh..... tonight is an African Night.
