DARKNESS AND LIGHT
DARKNESS AND LIGHT I sit in the sunshine that’s today But shadows stretch out behind me … Why is it that we can’t escape the darkness; Gray-dark nights that hunt our blue-light days, Nights that lurk within And hide behind the sunshine of our smiles? What will it take to shine the sun into the corners that hide the half-seen predators that shun the light and feed on fear? Nothing. The light is only a one-way window, The dark inside is me.
