Dear God
Dear God, Have you a moment to spare You see I've been wondering How much do you care? Do you know you've caused a whole lot of pain? If you could create Earth over Would you do it the same? Tell me, dear God, how do you sleep? When below you a million broken hearts weep How do you look into your eyes when they must reflect The eyes of a thousand broken men, all twisted and bent How can you play poker while in front of you There's a pile of unanswered prayers Their owners forgotten, did you forget too Left them to drown in their despair Does your head ever drop into your hands Are these your tears falling on this hopeless land Do you see these children pleading for a scrap to eat Do you see the travelers with their weary feet If you could change just one thing What would it be? Would you have stopped With the birds and the bees Please dear God, Before its too late Give these people something to love Rather than hate
