Dear Sweet Lady
Dear sweet lady where have you been? the ice in heart has surfaced from within my only wish is to hold you tell you things will be alright whisper gentle words of comfort to help ease your fright Dear sweet lady what ever have you done to me? you've changed my life in ways you may not see you left behind a trail of honey sweet memories pieces of you are pouring deep into my poetry Dear sweet lady tell me where this trail will lead Is it a path where the lost souls will be set free? out of millions I was lucky enough to be one of the chosen few to have been kidnapped by a feeling as beautiful as it is new Dear sweet lady let's broadcast our love all across the town Strangers stare with envy because love they've never found I feel safe when I am with you never felt this way before the taste remaining in my mouth has left me wanting more lovestruck I may be consumed by a truth that's hard to believe this quest has depleted my oxygen there's no more left to breathe Dear sweet lady you've captured my trust and care tested my strength and loyalty a game played fair Dear sweet lady will you please remember me? and when I'm gone will you promise not to leave? you gave my life meaning, purpose and stability Thanks to you now I live in peace and tranquility By Glenn McCrary © 2010 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
