Death in Sin
Apathetic beddings drape car light, shadows dark room Run do the shadows on the wall, seeming to turn The magic carousel of life list frames flickering kisses The dread of life chokes the point of it down your throat So much like being in love, the aching heart of loss is For what is a chasm without emptiness? What is a cavity without a hole? And so we find something lost where something once was, In vanity the ego burns its plans of splendor, For the rainbow it paints' color's pretty elements To combust in different hues all the flavors emotion And to complain about the light show we all dream of, The nights of ballads born from the burning flow, Are condemned for having such harmony in the background Of cacophony One realizes once again that the end of a thing Is better than its beginning For one only knows the end for what it is once it comes to pass, Until then you understand that to know is superior than not to. Everything has its time and place, To find love and comfort, to face betrayal and die- Yes, and they tell you it is a lonely journey Filled with eyes like mirrors millions reflecting you Though you spin in your lost sense of truth a pretense You spin down a dream you know you once called your life To remember what is, what was and what will be; That in truth, no matter the emotion the tranquil cadence Of your inner sense of appreciation will just keep on ticking The great empty clicking of grandfather clock observation But to turn and see self locked in tides of ultimate dread To compare with the most gay moments and now in reflection You realize you were never alone for the concept is mad Companionship is shared in objective truth, Subjective truth is the road of life each man carves solo. It is on this road that I then now meet you, In your room and on your walls in the moments if your deepest pain, For the words you read are read in your own voice And if you remember me now you will never be alone again, my friend.
