December

If I die in December I hope to remember a life that was tender-- complete with surrender That I took every chance for every romance and accepted life's hand when she asked me to dance. Not only to have accepted that which was expected If I do, much of life would be but neglected If remembered at all, remembered for Love given, received from within and above There's not much else to offer at least not from me So Love is all I'll live to be I'll pay joy, sorrow, and many a tear that if I died in December, You'll feel I was here.

When there are too many words, I write. When there aren't enough, I sing.
