Dedicated to You

/* I messed up the chronological order so will start again...Jan 01, 1992 Yes, this is cheesy, I know but it's 4 the friend who gave me an empty A5 book for my b day and said..."now, put ya poems in that" */ Strange that two rivers meet, But where were they before? They will never know the previous journey that the other had to endure. Our youthful rivers met, But where were they before? You know my flow just as a sister would, every gurgle, every turn. At waterfalls we plunge together. I am never alone. My secrets belong to you, yours belong to me. Together we glide along our river beds. Though rocks and islands slice us apart, we always return to one another's side. In times of strength, although it may be a rocky ride, Together we glide. Together we stay. And if your river where to run dry before mine... what would I do? Will we meet again, soaked deep into the cool earth, (Of which we can only dream and pray) Or will we be scorched by the blazing sun, Our only cries the shinning droplets before our vapour-remains are drawn into the fiery torture. Will we be together then? Or will the end be like the beginning? Separate. Not knowing of one another's existence. Your life is my life The strongest of friends Make the best of it now Cause no-one knows of our ends.
