Depressions's Slave

11 Dec 2005

·Sleight

An invisible wire attached to my skull, Sucking and sucking until I’m dry. My brain is dust, but the body continues An automaton programmed to simulate life. Leaving me only the tools of the hopeless; A cloak of apathy to defend me From all those that care A shield of callousness to protect me From all those that care A noose of laziness to choke me From all those that care Making each breathe shallower than the last, Each breathe slower than the last, Please let this one be my last.
