Destiny Smiled

I find myself strolling by quietly, smiling as the crowds gathered standing aside but never too far away I watch and contemplate the measure of your words telling myself they're meant for me, the love inside where devotion resides, a message waiting that golden key... for all of my life I have wondered beyond each broken hearted pile up of angry cries, staring through the glare of never again I've asked myself, is there anyone for me? only me ... I want this and I want you, knowing all that it brings sunshine, rain and the in betweens, the promise of a brand new way and yet, so familiar I should have known from that very first day, destiny smiled when you came my way
